We can assist our customers by giving advice on all aspects of loom design such as connector selection, cable types and cost effective marker selection. We will manufacture and use tooling of our own design in addition to using customer supplied jigs and tooling. We will host meetings between our customers and suppliers if this is the best route to finding solutions to design and manufacturing concerns. |

Kembrey has a team of 16 Project engineers and technicians able to work with clients on joint design for manufacture projects and to specify final client harness designs. The engineering team works closely with clients building proto-types and one off samples for clients in a dedicated development area managed by engineering and remote from production.
We have a variety of CAD systems; AutoCAD, CADDS and Catia being the most commonly used. The main role of these systems is to enable us to view and interrogate customer drawings and definitions and then to produce our own loom foils and other graphical production aids. We can provide CAD support to our customers by taking on the draughting packages of work for our own use, when clients find that their own CAD facility has become overburdened.
Our engineers can check client designs and advise the clients own personnel on how best to build or complete a harness in situ in an aircraft frame. Engineers are available to be seconded onto client projects to support their project design team.
Kembrey can train client operators on building harnesses either at our Swindon site or at the clients own facility. We are currently working with a partner organisation in Saudi Arabia, training their operatives to work on a Tornado upgrade for RSAF. We have installed the ‘Kembrey Production Process’ into their facility in order to assist their internal business systems deliver wiring harnesses to aerospace standards.
